Η συνεργασία και η προσαρμοστικότητα είναι δύο από τις βασικότερες δεξιότητες που θεωρούνται πλέον απαραίτητες για την επαγγελματική επιτυχία των ανθρώπων στον 21^ου αιώνα.

Στο Dyslexia Friendly προσπαθούμε να προετοιμάζουμε τους μαθητές μας για τις απαιτήσεις της αγοράς εργασίας και να καλλιεργούμε όλες τις δυνατότητες και τα ταλέντα τους. Ταυτόχρονα, προσπαθούμε να διδαχτούμε από το παρελθόν τις αξίες, τις παραδόσεις και τις πρακτικές που ζεσταίνουν την ψυχή και δημιουργούν δεσμούς ανάμεσα στους ανθρώπους. Και τι καλύτερη τροφή της ψυχής μπορούμε να σκεφτούμε από τα παραμύθια;

Προσπαθώντας να ενώσουμε το παρελθόν με το μέλλον, να συνεργαστούμε και να εμπνεύσουμε, ήρθε η ιδέα για ένα παραμύθι φιλικό στη Δυσλεξία .

Τα παιδιά ενθουσιάστηκαν! Πήραμε χαρτί και μολύβι και ξεκινήσαμε. Οι κανόνες της συγγραφής ήταν απλοί και βασικοί. Κάθε ομάδα παιδιών θα έγραφε μία παράγραφο του παραμυθιού, διαβάζοντας μόνο την προηγούμενη παράγραφο. Οπότε κάθε ομάδα θα ήξερε μόνο ένα μικρό κομμάτι της ιστορίας.

Το θέμα δόθηκε στην πρώτη ομάδα ( «Τρείς φίλοι αποφασίζουν να φτιάξουν ένα εργοστάσιο…») και όλα ξεκίνησαν! Κάθε μαθητής προσπάθησε να επικοινωνήσει τις ιδέες του με το επίπεδο των αγγλικών που κατείχε. Και… έκπληξη! Ακόμα και οι πιο διστακτικοί με τα αγγλικά τους διαπίστωσαν ότι ξέρουν αρκετά για να συμμετέχουν στο παραμύθι.

Κατάλαβαν ότι το σημαντικό είναι να έχεις κάτι να πεις και να θέλεις να επικοινωνήσεις. Τότε ο τρόπος βρίσκεται.

Όλοι συνεργάστηκαν υπέροχα. Οι ιδέες που έπεσαν στο τραπέζι ήταν άπειρες και ετερόκλητες. Αυτό που πρέπει να κρατήσουμε είναι ότι το συναίσθημα και η καλοσύνη είχαν ξεχωριστή θέση. Μέσα από συγκίνηση, αλλά και χιούμορ τα παιδιά απέδειξαν ότι πιστεύουν ακόμα σε έναν καλύτερο κόσμο.

Τους ευχαριστούμε όλους και είμαστε περήφανοι για αυτά που καταφέρνουν καθημερινά.  Μπράβο σας, παιδιά!

A Dyslexia Friendly Story

Three friends, Numberboy, Magicman and Funnydog, are sitting in a sofa and they are looking at the photographs.
– Look! It’s Mr. Bob Softhard!
– I remember that day! It was the best joke ever!
– Mr. Bob Softhard was cutting the grass and we threw some tiny bombs at him. He thought that his machine had broken down. He tried to fix it but he destroyed it!
– He was really angry!!!
– Mr. Bob Softhard was a great person and a good character, and he helped us.
– Let’s go to the factory now!
– I am bored!
– Come on, you lazy! Let’s go!

– Ah, finally at the factory!
– Never going to forget the first inspector meeting we had.
– Yeah, it’s so bad that we couldn’t copy Willy Wonka’s factory. Well, at least we kept the boat. It isn’t illegal. Let’s go to the office now. Boat rowing in the river or over the bridges?
– River!!
– 3 out of 3? River it is then!

– Oh look!!! There are animals in the river! There is a sugar cat, there is a sugar dog and a sugar deer. All the animals are made of sugar and jelly!
– I love animals! They are very, very good!
– Yes, but they are going to the factory!
– Oh no! We must save them!!
– We must stop the engines now!
– I will use my magic powers. I will freeze the engines!
The engines stop….
– Yay!!!!
– We mustn’t use the chocolate river.
– We must find another idea!
– Ok! Look at the leaves! Look what happens when they fall down!
– Wow! It’s amazing! They create chocolate letters! I will create the word “LOVE”.
– I will write the word “MAGIC”.
– I will write the word “POOP” because the chocolate is brown!
– HAHAHAHA!!!!

– Let’s try making random words.
– Dress..
– Apple..
– Moment..
– Dam..
– I know!! We can build a dam to create a chocolate lake!
– Controlling floods will be quite hard. We must build a back up dam.
– It can wait until we get enough money to make it.
– We must work. We must build the dam fast!
After 100 days the dam isn’t ready and the chocolate goes to the city. People from the city come in a bad mood. They were scared about the dam which wasn’t ready. Then the three friends asked those people if they could help them, so that they could have the dam ready in a week. Fortunately, the people accepted. They wanted the dam to be ready, too and they wanted to be safe from the chocolate.
As they were working all together, one man had the idea to taste the chocolate.
– Mmmmmm… Delicious!! Guys, you need to taste this!!
Everybody started eating a big amount of chocolate. A couple of minutes later, a woman said:
– We have to bring storage boxes and buckets to take the chocolate to our houses!
Everybody was eating instead of working. Later, nobody had the energy to work, but the chocolate river wasn’t that big anymore!

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a massive man appeared from the shadows. His name was The Trainer, his plan was to create a shrinking laser to shrink the chocolate buckets. The people would put the chocolate in little bags and they would sell it. Then they would raise money to make a new town, far away from the chocolate river.

Thanks to the three friends the citizens learned about chocolate making and working together!
